Real Steel will be released on DVD and Blu Ray on January 24th, but I managed to capture Evi’s scenes in HD quality already. Over 800 HD captures have been added to the gallery, which now also holds over 40,000 images of Evi! I really like this movie, and Evi’s character of course. The chemistry between her and Hugh Jackman is amazing too. So if you haven’t watched the movie, be sure that you do! If you use the captures anywhere, please credit the site!

In an interview with Shawn Levy and Hugh Jackman, they had this to say about Evi in the movie.
It seems like a premise that kids would understand, given the popularity of the Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em robot game.
Levy: In the absence of footage, people have kind of reductively asked, “Is it like Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em?” and the truth is, that the movie is maybe 30% robot fighting and the rest of about Hugh and his son, Hugh and Evangeline Lilly’s character.

DreamWorks has announced shuffles of release dates for some of their 2011 films. “Real Steel”, which was initially scheduled for November 18, 2011 release in the U.S., is now put on October 7 slot because the company’s co-chair and CEO Stacey Snider believes the robot-boxing movie deserves more space to stretch its legs moving through the fall.
“Fright Night”, which will serve as a remake to 1985 horror film of the same title is now set as next year’s summer movie, being moved up from October 7 to August 19. Shock Till You Drop suggests the new release date hints that the studio is confident the film could compete with other summer flicks.
A week earlier, on August 12, 2011 to be exact, DreamWorks will drop “The Help” starring Emma Stone. The drama was previously occupying April 14 slot, but is moved to the new date since the similarly female-driven films “Eat, Pray, Love” and “Julie & Julia” found success around the same weekend. »
